Parks & Rec

While Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope are notably absent, much of the work done for the Maryland Heights Parks & Recreation Department evoke similar feelings from the show such as liveliness, joy and amusement. Projects for MHPR vary from print to digital and include updated branding.

WorldFest 2021

A Cultural Arts Celebration

In 2021 the annual WorldFest celebration was moved from its traditional location at the Maryland Heights Community Center to the new St. Louis Music Park, the outdoor amphitheater at the Centene Community Ice Center. With this change of location came a new look and marketing elements for the cultural arts celebration. This ranged from a new logo, digital signage, program as well as promoting the event with local media outlets.

24 Days of Elfmas

  • Guess Where I Am!

During the 24 Days of Elfmas, Facebook followers were challenged to guess where Merl Lynn Ikes the Elf was hiding around the City.

  • Engaging the Community

The more you guessed, the more chances you had to win a prize. We had hundreds of unique entries throughout the campaign.

Travis & AJ LIVE

On a weekly basis, I, along with cohost Travis, host a live video via Facebook to inform viewers of all the upcoming programs and activities with the Parks & Recreation Department.

More Video Content

In celebration of Hop a Park Day, a video was produced highlighting all the parks in Maryland Heights.

With the onset of COVID-19, businesses had to change their operations drastically. With the changes came confusion for those visiting the Community Center. A video was produced to help people know what to expect when visiting.

They can’t all be zingers! A short video of all the clips that didn’t make the final cut.
